Jeevan Bikas Samaj organized one day Fish Fair Program on 27^th of February 2016 inside the premises of R.R. Multi farming and Agriculture Research Pvt. Ltd. Katahari-1. The fair was organized on the support of Agribusiness Promotion and Marketing Development Directorate, Agribusiness Promotion Program, Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur. The Chief Guest for the fair Behalf Regional Director Mr. Arun Prasad Ghimire of Regional Agriculture Directorate Biratnagar formally started the program. There were 30 stalls where different varieties of alive as well as cooked fishes were kept. Similarly, other products of JBS like solar set, agriculture seeds, seasonal vegetables as well as fruits, dairy products and bamboo house were also kept for display. Around 20,000 people visited the fair. They accepted that such fair was organized for the first time in Biratnagar and were excited to be a part of the fair where large varieties of fishes were found under single roof. The objective of the fair was to raise awareness among the farmers and local people regarding the fishery business and promote benefits of fish consumption for a healthy life.
